Lightship was initially engaged to create clever and humorous television commercials that would catch people’s attention and raise awareness for the then new restaurant, New York Grilled Cheese Company.  Lightship created a character who was played by local drag performer, Daisy Deadpedals who is obsessed with understanding why her son loves New York Grilled Cheese melts over her homemade ones.  The character was a hit and so Lightship was hired as the agency of record to create all of the brands assets which included a new website, all social media platforms, in-store collateral including signs and menus while we continued to develop and produce commercials..
