Our Night Out was created to promote LGBT+ artistic and cultural organizations including the Stonewall National Museum and Archives, Island City Stage and the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida. Lightship was initially tasked with conceiving and creating 4 promotional videos. Sharon Gless (Cagney and Lacey & Queer as Folk) was cast to play a “Gay Fun Fairy” who would whisk people away from otherwise boring and routine situations to an incredible night out at an LGBT+ arts event. Lightship brought the concept to life as a live annual event in 2018. The annual evening of LGBT+ entertainment served to kick off Wilton Manors highly anticipated Stonewall Summer Pride and featured national celebrities and performers including Todrick Hall, Monet Exchange, Jonathan Hawkins and Heather Lundstedt.
